When my nephew was born, my brother was a nervous wreck. Charlie was my brother’s first child and he had the stereo typical jitters of a new parent. Being a father of three children of my own, I thought it was rather amusing — that is until my wife reminded me about my own nervousness when our first child was born. My brother was particularly frazzled one weekend, so I drove over to help him with a redecorating project. He wanted his son’s room to be perfect, so we hung up new kids wallpaper border and painted the walls. The border had monkeys and tigers on it, and the job looked very nice when we were finished. After our decorating project, we went out and had a pizza at Luigi’s. While we were waiting for our food to be delivered to our table, I did my best to calm my brother’s nerves. I told him that parenthood was a blessing and a wonderful thing, and I reassured him that he was being a great father for Charlie. I think my talk did some good, because my brother was laughing and having a good time by the time the waitress brought out our pizza.

I decided that the best place for me to find tobacco was online. I searched for a shop and after a few hours I found one. The shop I found had many different types of tobacco and gave descriptions of the types that they sold. I knew that my husband liked light tobacco so I looked for this kind at the store. I found five different varieties that were light and I decided to purchase all five of them. I know my husband will be happy to try out some new tobacco and I hope he likes the kinds I picked out.
Flowers Will Go a Long Way for My Friend

It appears that my friend forgot to look into doing something special for his girlfriend’s birthday. He said that he wanted to surprise her with something, so I told him to send her flowers. I said that they have been together for only a few weeks. There is no reason that he should feel like he owes her anything. I just want her to feel good about at least getting something from him. I know that it is common for the guys to over think about this. He really should not panic about it either. The florist will be able to deliver the flowers when he needs them to. Meanwhile, he might be able to set up something romantic for the day after her birthday because it will be the weekend. At least he has that excuse.

Monday, January 30th, 2012I have had the same espresso machine for five years, so I was really upset to notice that it wasn’t working. I thought my husband might be the culprit, but he assured me had nothing to do with it. I thought we’d have to throw out the machine, but my husband is quite the tinkerer so he had me give him the exact brand and model number of the machine.
Next thing I know, some espresso parts show up at our house. I didn’t know what to do with them, and I started to wonder if my husband knew what he was getting into. When he got home from work, he started tinkering. About half an hour later he asked me if I wanted some coffee. I thought he was kidding so I said sure.
He fixed it! I will never doubt his tinkering skills again! The espresso machine is just fine and I’m so grateful for that.

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012I really don’t know what I would have done without my Brother Sewing Machine over the last few months! My son suddenly announced that he wanted to take a Gap Year, and travel with Camp International to Borneo. I really didn’t have any idea how we would finance it! As a family, we all sat together and had a brain storming session to see what ideas we could come up with. We all played to our strengths. My sister has a knack for baking, so any fetes and fairs we could do, we had a cake stall. We had the obligatory raffle and had generous prize donations from local traders, but our biggest fundraiser was items I had made on my sewing machine! Bunting, pin cushions, draught excluders, door stops and tote bags all sold faster than my sister’s hot cakes! I gained a new found enthusiasm for sewing and I have an extremely happy son, on his way to Borneo!

I think Dog Jackets are really nice. It gets so cold where we live and my dogs can feel it. We have three little dogs and they all have jackets for their walks. They are so much happier wearing them in the winter time. It just makes it much nicer when we take them out. Before I owned any dogs I didn’t see the point of the jacket but now that I have these three guys in my life it makes so much more sense to me. Their jackets are waterproof too. It is nice to know they are protected from the rain and snow too. They come in such nice colors. Blue, Cranberry and Olive Green are the ones we bought. A different color for each dog. We also were able to put their first initial on the jackets. Dancer, Root and Taylor. They always get excited when I put the jackets on them. I think because they know it means it is time for a walk.

I looked online to check out the Pantone mugs. Just like what she said, they were all really cute mugs than came in the different colors of the rainbow. I couldn’t buy them all at once so I decided to buy one each month.
So for a month, I would order the Pantone mugs. Getting one mug at a time would make me even more excited to get the next one. In a year, I was able to complete the mug collection. I collected all the colors enough to make it a rainbow every time I arrange it. I put it on display by the kitchen. It’s a good conversation starter with friends every time they see it.
